Firm Profile

Sam Rosmarin

Sam Rosmarin is one of the most successful and respected medical malpractice attorneys in New York, and the lead attorney of the Rosmarin Law Firm, which he founded in 2006. During the past five years, Sam has obtained more than $50 million in judgments and settlements for his clients. These include $20 million verdict in 2010 in a case involving surgical malpractice, when a client's colon was injured during a routine colonoscopy. That verdict was the largest medical malpractice verdict in New York that year, and one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts ever returned in the State of New York.

Last year, a case in which Sam's client was awarded $8 million was featured in a New York Daily News article. That case involved a client who went into the hospital for treatment of an infection and wound up paralyzed. As reported by The Daily News, that $8 million settlement was the largest paid out by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation in 2011. Sam has litigated medical malpractice cases for more than 25 years. He began his legal career with a prominent New York City medical malpractice defense firm, an experience that has served him well. Sam's earlier experience representing doctors and hospitals has enabled him to obtain many multi-million dollar settlements for his clients, and to do so in less time than might otherwise have been the case.

Sam's career representing victims in medical malpractice cases spans more than 15 years. He was the chairman of the medical malpractice department of a leading Rockland County litigation firm and in 1999 formed his own medical malpractice litigation firm with a partner. The success of that firm led Sam to found The Rosmarin Law Firm in 2006.

Sam is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and Cornell University.
